Option 1: Get Referred to a Local BulletProof Dealer
BulletProof dealers are licensed HVAC contractors who know our equipment, stock it and install it regularly. Tell us where you live and what you need, and we'll connect you. The referral is free and there's no obligation.
BulletProof dealers are independently owned and operated businesses. Each dealer quotes, performs and warrants its own installation work.

- The dealer contacts you to schedule a visit, confirm sizing (ideally with a Manual J load calculation) and give you a written installation quote.

Option 2: Hire Your Own Licensed HVAC Contractor
Already have an HVAC company you trust? Use them. Any licensed contractor can install BulletProof AC. Here's how to hire well.
Installer checklist
- Licensed. Check the license with your state or local licensing board. In Florida, you can look up contractor licenses through the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR).
- Insured. Ask for proof of general liability and workers' compensation coverage.
- EPA Section 608 certified. This is required by federal law to handle refrigerant.
- Experienced with A2L refrigerants. Our split systems use R454B and our mini-splits use R32. Both are newer A2L refrigerants that call for the right tools and procedures.
- Pulls the permit. Most areas require one for an equipment change-out.
- Does a load calculation. A Manual J, not a guess. See our sizing guide.
- Gives a written, itemized quote. It should list labor, materials, permit, old-unit removal and refrigerant recovery.
- Offers a labor warranty. Our warranty covers parts, so ask what the installer covers for labor and for how long.

No. BulletProof AC designs and distributes the equipment. We don't do installs, repairs or service calls. We refer homeowners to local BulletProof dealers, who are licensed HVAC contractors, or you can hire your own.
